Deck Ready wants you to experience a seamless process. Our customer support team is here to help you. All the important information you need at your fingertips. Let’s get started!
Deck Restoration services are highly dependent on weather. The wood must be completely dry before work can begin and must remain dry for several days after staining. While our goal is to begin work within 15 business days, due to the unpredictability of weather, this may be extended if circumstances require it. Our Customer Care division will contact you as your production date nears to provide you with an estimated start window.
For our New Deck Build customers, the timeframe to enter into our production queue can be up to 4 weeks depending on the progression of the design and permitting phases. Our process begins with our engineers creating custom plans and renderings of your deck. Once the initial draft is completed we will share them with you for review. We ask for 48-72 hours for turnaround with any revision request as our models serve as the blueprint for construction, including our material list. Upon obtaining your approval of the design, our permitting department will draft a site plan and file the permit application to begin work. After the permitting has been awarded, your deck will enter into our production schedule and as your project nears, you will be contacted with an approximate start date for construction.
While we will do our best to keep you apprised, our customer care division is always available to address any questions you might have. They can be reach at (410) 698-1375 or via email at customercare@DeckReady.net.
While some customers like to be home during their install, we do not require that you be home while we are working on your deck. Our trusted production teams are overseen by experienced foremen who are onsite to ensure the job is completed to our exceptionally high standards. We do request access to outdoor electricity as our teams utilize industrial power tools. If you have concerns regarding the amperage requirements, please let us know prior to our arrival to avoid production delays.
We do, however, require you (or an approved proxy) to be home at the time the job is completed, as you are an integral part of our “Collaborative Check-out.” This process includes a thorough walk-through of the deck where you will be asked to evaluate the work and sign off on the completion certificate. This is also the time your final payment will be due. Once Deck Ready has received the signed certificate and final payment we are then able to release your warranty paperwork.
The length of time we are on your job varies based on the size of the deck and the scope of the project. With that said, our teams work diligently and efficiently to get your deck completed as quickly as possible. We know you are eager to enjoy your newly renovated outdoor living space and our teams work in a consecutive manner to make sure that is achieved. This means they will not start another project until your deck/phase is complete. If something was not finished at the end of the day, you can expect to see them the next day. Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, with the occasion weekend exception.

We utilize an industrial premium stain that comes with a manufacturer warranty. As part of that warranty, the deck MUST remain clear of any foot traffic or pets for five (5) days after application. The warranty becomes void if these instructions are not followed. After the five-day period, you may return items to your deck. Please keep in mind that heavy furniture movement may cause scratches, which are not indications of product failure or defect. Returning items to your deck is not included as part of our standard contract, unless specifically noted. If you are interested in having Deck Ready return the furniture to your deck, please contact our Customer Care office for pricing information.
We ask that the deck be cleared of all furniture, plants, grills and other items prior to our team’s arrival. Items should be placed at least 75 feet from the deck.
As a courtesy, Deck Ready can remove items for you. In contingency with this complimentary offering, you are absolving Deck Ready of any liability for damage.
Due to the mandatory five-day waiting period after the product has been applied, there will be an additional fee for Deck Ready to return to replace items once your deck has dried.
We recommend using soap and water to remove dirt and stains. Mold and/or mildew may develop over time as a result of environmental factors. If this should occur, wood should be treated with mildew cleaner and applied as directed by the manufacturer. Never pressure wash your deck with a high-pressure device.
Deck Ready extends a 1-year, limited-labor warranty and a 10-year limited-stain warranty on our Deck Ready Process and Total Board Replacement services. The self-priming Sherwin Williams stain maintains a 5-year no flake manufacturer’s warranty. Deck Ready extends a 10-year product warranty that covers the cost of ample stain for warranty related repairs. After one year, Deck Ready will repair warranty related damages for a $300 service cost and the permission to post a yard sign during service. For additional information, please refer to limitations on warranty coverage as described in the Limited Warranty section of the contract.
